2026 Board of Directors

On behalf of the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada, we are pleased to introduce the 2026 ORNAC Board of Directors.

Please join us in welcoming both returning and newly elected directors who have committed their time, expertise, and passion to advancing perioperative nursing across Canada.

We are excited to welcome our new directors and look forward to the perspectives, energy, and leadership they will bring to ORNAC as we continue to support excellence in perioperative nursing practice, education, advocacy, and collaboration nationwide.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our outgoing directors for their dedication, professionalism, and countless volunteer hours in service to ORNAC and its members. Your contributions have helped strengthen our organization and advance the specialty of perioperative nursing in Canada. We are deeply appreciative of your commitment and leadership.

Thank you to all members who continue to support ORNAC and contribute to the growth and success of our national association.

Sincerely,

The ORNAC Board of Directors

Call for Participants

Call for Participants: Research on Lateral Violence in Perioperative Nursing

Dear Members,

We are reaching out to share an opportunity to participate in an important research study focused on perioperative nurses’ experiences with lateral violence in relation to continuing professional development (CPD).

The study is seeking volunteers who:

  • Have a minimum of one year of perioperative experience
  • Have pursued or are currently pursuing advanced education or CPD activities
  • Have personally experienced lateral violence, bullying, or incivility connected to these activities

As a participant, you will be invited to take part in a one-hour online interview to share your experiences.

This research aims to better understand the challenges perioperative nurses may face and contribute to creating safer, more supportive professional environments.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact:
