What is ORNAC's Membership Year?

  • ORNAC Membership is based on the calendar year, from January 1 to December 31, annually.
  • ORNAC does not prorate membership at any time of the year.  However, those joining or renewing their memberships after September 30th annually will have those fees applied to the upcoming membership year.  Renewing members who rejoin after September 30th (late) will be considered to have not joined for the current membership year.

New Members: How do I register as a new member?

IMPORTANT: These steps are for new registrations only.
Do not follow these steps if you already have a profile and are renewing your membership.

To register as a new member, please follow these steps:

  • Select Membership » Register Today!
  • Complete the User Registration Form and click the Register button
    • You will receive an onscreen message advising you to check your email for an activation code
    • This email will be sent to the email address you used to complete your registration.
  • To activate your account, please follow the link provided (or copy-paste it in your browser window):
  • Once activated, you should see the following message in your browser window:
    Your Account has been successfully activated. You can now log in using the username and password you chose during the registration.
  • Login using the username and password you created.
  • Once logged in you will be taken to the Member home page Select Join Today! to complete your registration and remit your payment.
    NOTE: If you elect to pay your registration fees by cheque, access to the "members only" area of the site will not be granted until your payment is received and processed in our offices. You will still have access to the member home page, but your access to other member only links will be restricted.

Existing or Renewing Accounts: How do I update / renew my membership?

IMPORTANT: These steps are for updating an existing account only.
Do not follow these steps if you are joining as a new member.

Both members and associates can login to their online profiles to update their profiles and to renew their membership at any time.

Please follow the onscreen and email instructions provided carefully. If you experience any difficulty, please call 1-844-594-0052 for assistance.

How/Where can I see my ORNAC ID number?

ORNAC ID numbers can be viewed anytime, simply login into your profile and select “View/Update my Profile" from the My Links menu.

How will my Provincial Council know that I am a member of ORNAC?

ORNAC Members and Associates lists are generated from this website exclusively to select Board members from each Provincial Council on an as-needed basis.

What if I am a resident of Yukon, the Northwest Territories, or Nunavut?

Residents of the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut are encouraged to join ORNAC by selecting either the province closest to them, or the province which will best facilitate their travel to Annual General Meetings and other training opportunities.

Where/How do I join CORL, PNEC or RNFANC on the ORNAC website?

At the time you join/renew your ORNAC registration you will be given the option to join the following groups:

Canadian Operating Room Leaders (CORL) $10.00 (plus applicable taxes)
Perioperative Nurse Educators of Canada (PNEC) $10.00 (plus applicable taxes)
Registered Nurses First Assistants Network of Canada (RNFANC) $ No additional charge

Should you decide you would like to join one of these groups later in the year, please Contact Membership Services to have the option added to your profile and to remit any applicable fees.

Who is eligible to vote at the ORNAC Annual General Meeting (AGM)?

Only ORNAC Members « Canadian Perioperative Registered Nurses » have the right to vote at the AGM. Associate members of ORNAC, while welcome to attend the AGM do not have voting rights. All Members will receive notice of the meeting and an information package 21–60 days in advance of the AGM.
