PRESIDENT (PRNABC) Loraine Best Loraine is the Manager of the OR/PACU at Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey, as well as Delta Hospital OR/PACU/SDC and Ambulatory Care. She has been a perioperative nurse since 1988 and has worked as a staff nurse, clinical nurse educator, and patient care coordinator. Loraine has been an active member of firstly BCORNG and now PRNABC and is honoured to represent British Columbia at a national level. |

PRESIDENT ELECT (PRNABC) Marlene Skucas RN CPN (C) Marlene has 30+ years of perioperative nursing experience. She presently is employed as the Operating Room Unit Manager at Cranbrook Regional Hospital in British Columbia. She has been an active member on the local and provincial level boards for many years. She helped develop the posters and a pamphlet advertised on the PRNABC website for attracting new members and was the recipient of the PRNABC recognition award in 2012. Marlene is looking forward to working with the energetic group on the ORNAC board. |

PRESIDENT ELECT (ORNAA) Lucia Pfeuti RN, BN, CPN(C) Lucia began her perioperative nursing career 15 years ago, following the completion of a post-graduate perioperative course. She is currently one of the Clinical Nurse Educators at the Foothills Medical Centre, in Calgary, AB, a position she has held since 2007. Lucia has also been a Nurse Clinician in the areas of Thoracics and Plastics, as well as Cardiac surgery, all of which are areas of interest for her. She has held CPN(C) certification since 1999. |

PRESIDENT (SORNG) Alicia Oucharek RN, BScN, MN, CPN(C) Alicia presently works part time as a Clinical Nurse Educator in Amb Care, Endo and Medical Day Care in St. Paul's Hospital and Royal University Hospital for the Saskatoon Health Region. Since completing her basic nursing program, Alicia has experienced a rich variety of nursing roles from Staff Nurse to Educator within the hospital setting and in academia. She began work in the periOperative setting in 1999. She has been an active SORNG executive member since 2000 and served as president from 2004 - 2006 and is honored to represent Saskatchewan on the ORNAC board again. Alicia is a past Awards Chair for ORNAC. |

PRESIDENT ELECT (SORNG) Donna Marin RN, BScN, CPN(C), MHRD Donna is currently the Manager of the Operating Room and Post-Anesthetic Care Unit at Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK, a post she has held for 5.5 years. Previously she worked as a staff nurse in the operating rooms in Regina since 1997 and was a perioperative nursing program educator for 7 years. She is passionate about perioperative nursing and has held a variety of elected positions within the Saskatchewan periOperative Registered Nurses Group (SORNG) and is excited to be returning to the ORNAC board. She has represented ORNAC at CSA and was a previous member of the Standards committee, as well as co-chaired the 2011 ORNAC National Conference in Regina, SK. |

PRESIDENT ELECT (MORNA) Karen Sagness RN, CPN(C), RNFA Karen has had the pleasure of working as a perioperative nurse at the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) for 22 years since graduating as a Registered Nurse from the Misericordia School of Nursing program, both in Winnipeg, MB. During this time she also had many opportunities to practice perioperative nursing in the northern community of Churchill, MB. In March of 2000, Karen obtained her Canadian Certification in Perioperative Nursing and in the following year she completed the Registered Nurse First Assistant program through BCIT. Currently, Karen is the Clinical Resource Nurse for Plastics, Burns and Reconstruction in the Adult Operating Room at HSC and has enjoyed that role for the past 7 years. Through her role as CRN, Karen has had the opportunity to speak both in Canada and in the US to nurses and physicians regarding organization and efficiency in the operating room. She is also the Chair Person for the Canadian Plastic Surgery Nursing Symposium. Karen has been a member of the Manitoba Operating Room Nurses Association (MORNA) for 10 years and looks forward to assuming her new role with this group as President Elect. |

PRESIDENT (ORNAO) Anita Esson RN, BScN, RNFA, CPN(C) Anita is employed at the Sault Area Hospital as a full-time RNFA/RN. She has been a perioperative nurse for over 24 years, working as a staff nurse, RNFA and team leader. She has been an active member on the local and provincial boards. She completed an RNAO Clinical Fellowship in 2004, and was the 2008 recipient of the ORNAO/J&J scholarship/bursary. Anita is looking forward to an exciting and informative term on the ORNAC Board. |

PRESIDENT (CIISOQ/CORNQ) Philippe Willame Philippe est le coordonnateur du bloc opératoire, incluant la salle de réveil et les inhalothérapeutes du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Mère-Enfant Ste-Justine de Montréal. Il est infirmier gradué hospitalier Belge depuis 1989 avec une spécialisation au bloc opératoire. Il a travaillé en Belgique et en France au bloc opératoire durant 12 années. Depuis 2001, il travaille à Montréal et est un membre actif de la CIISOQ, spécialement au niveau de l'éducation. Pour le moment, il complète son baccalauréat en sciences infirmières. Philippe is the coordinator of the operating room, including PACU and Respiratory Technician team, at the CHU Ste-Justine (Paediatric Hospital), Montreal, Quebec. He has been a nurse since 1989 with a Belgium operating room specialization. He has worked in Belgium, France for 12 years in the operating room and since 2001, he has been working in Montreal. He's an active member of the CORNQ, especially in education and is currently completing his bachelor degree in nursing. |

PRESIDENT (NBORN) Charlotte Roach R.N. CPN(c) Currently the Peri-operative Nurse Manager of the OR, PACU, Day Surgery, and Pre-op Clinic at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville and the Hotel Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital in Perth, New Brunswick. Charlotte has been a Peri-operative Nurse since 1991, and completed the post-basic Peri-operative Nursing Course from the Moncton City Hospital in 1995. She has held CNA Certification since 1995. She is an active member of NBORN since 1993 holding previous position on the Board and Executive and is the current President-Elect. |

As a longtime member of the Operating Room Nurses Association of Nova Scotia (ORNANS), she has held both the Secretary/Treasurer and Regional Presiding Officer role with the Halifax Chapter and is currently ORNANS President-Elect. |

PRESIDENT (N&LORNA) Debbie Keough RN CPN(c) Debbie started her nursing career in 1983. In 2003 she decided to take on the challenging, but rewarding role as an OR nurse…and has never looked back! She started in the OR as a staff nurse, and then took the role as Patient Care Coordinator in a General Surgery and Vascular OR Suite. PRESIDENT ELECT (N&LORNA) Joanne Peddle Graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started worked at the General Hospital as a casual nurse in on Neurosurgery, moved to Emergency Dept in 1994, and to the O.R in 1995. She worked full time in the OR in varying positions-rotating staff nurse, Temporary Nurse Specialist in Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, and currently fulfils the role of the Perioperative Clinical Educator at the Health Science site of Eastern Health. She has received Perioperative Certification in 2008 and is currently pursuing her Master's in Nursing through Athabasca University. She serves on various committees - MPD/O.R. Quality improvement, Emergency Preparedness, ARNNL Workplace Rep, Perioperative policy and procedure Committee, and EH Nursing Research Council. She is the president-elect of the provincial NLORNA executive. |

She has over 45 years of experience in Perioperative Nursing, and is the recipient of awards of excellence . Pat was a founding and executive member of the London & District O.R. Nurses Association and is co-chair of the Canadian Operating Room Leaders Network. |

PNEC Tracie Scott RN, BScN, MSN/ED, CPN(C) Tracie began her nursing career 16 years ago and has spent the majority of it within the Perioperative field of practice. Beginning as a Registered Practical Nurse, Tracie continued her educational experiences which lead to obtaining her RN, and subsequently her Baccalaureate in Nursing from Ryerson University. In 2010 Tracie completed her Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Education. Tracie is the President and a founding member of the Perioperative Nurse Educators of Canada (PNEC) and represents the association by holding the PNEC affiliate seat at the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) board table. Tracie also holds an executive position of Program Convenor with the periOPerative Registered Nurses Association of Greater Toronto(ORNGT) as well as a position on the program planning committee for the Operating Room Nurses Association of Ontario's (ORNAO) 2012 conference. Currently, Tracie is a Professor in the Perioperative nursing program at Centennial College in Toronto and the Clinical Manager for the Operating Room and Surgical Endoscopy Suites at Markham Stouffville Hospital in Markham Ontario. Tracie is a busy mom of three young boys and prides her family as her greatest joy and accomplishment. |
